{"id":7664,"date":"2019-05-11T16:28:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-11T12:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/?p=7664"},"modified":"2019-05-12T03:10:15","modified_gmt":"2019-05-11T23:10:15","slug":"team-abu-dhabis-rashid-al-tayer-launches-gp1-aquabike-title-challenge-on-the-back-of-powerboat-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2019\/05\/11\/team-abu-dhabis-rashid-al-tayer-launches-gp1-aquabike-title-challenge-on-the-back-of-powerboat-victory\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Abu Dhabi&#8217;s Rashid Al Tayer Launches GP1 Aquabike Title Challenge on the Back of Powerboat Victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rashid Al Tayer\u00a0has set his sights on victory in the Runabout GP1 category, the blue riband event of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aquabike.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship<\/a>, which launches its 2019 season in Portimao.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>It comes just nine days after Al Tayer celebrated victory with <a href=\"http:\/\/adimsc.ae\/home\/race_driver\/27\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Team Abu Dhabi<\/a> in the <\/strong>24 Hours of Rouen in France, part of the world <a href=\"http:\/\/www.f2worldchamp.com\/about-f2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F2 powerboat endurance championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt was great to be part of that success, and now I\u2019m looking forward to returning to jet ski racing in Portugal,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been preparing for the start of the new season for four months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe\u2019ve built a completely new jet ski with a new engine, and I want to make a winning start to the championship. But I need to save the bike for the next round because my target this season is to win the world title.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h6><strong>DON&#8217;T MISS OUT:\u00a0<a style=\"text-transform: initial;\" href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2019\/05\/02\/lincoln-ends-q1-with-47-percent-sales-gain-in-the-middle-east\/\">Lincoln Ends Q1 with 47 Percent Sales Gain in the Middle East<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Team Abu Dhabi is also represented in Portimao by reigning <strong>UIM-ABP Aquabike freestyle champion <\/strong>Rashed Al Mulla, unbeaten in the last six <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2019\/04\/13\/alfa-romeo-racing-celebrates-grand-prix-number-1000-in-the-history-of-f1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grand Prix<\/a>, and Salman AlAwadhi in the Ski Division GP1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Portimao is currently a significant focus of attention for the team which is based at <a href=\"http:\/\/adimsc.ae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club<\/a>.
