The current managing director, Michael Julius Renz (62), is to retire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Julius Seebach has been appointed to the management of Audi Sport GmbH as of May 1. At Audi since 2015, he was initially responsible for strategy and powertrain control in the Technical Development division. In 2017, he successfully introduced model-series management at <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2018\/12\/11\/audi-sport-abt-schaeffler-team-starts-title-defense-in-formula-e\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Audi Sport<\/a> and has since been in charge of the RS 4\/RS 5 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiusa.com\/models\/audi-rs7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RS 6\/RS 7 Sportback series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Previously, he was an industrial engineer and MBA at Porsche, where he was involved in various Panamera model series projects and powertrain development projects. A graduate in business administration, he has held various management positions at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audi.com\/en\/company.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AUDI AG<\/a> over the past 25 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company thanks Renz for his dedicated and successful work. Before taking over as\u00a0<span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;\">managing director of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.audi.com\/en\/experience-audi\/audi-sport.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Audi Sport<\/a> at the beginning of 2018, he was president of the Audi Sales Division in\u00a0<\/span>China, responsible for sales and the brand\u2019s presence in one of the most important markets.
