Parker will lead all Hyundai operations and functions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and Genesis in the U.S. and Canada, along with overseeing Hyundai\u2019s manufacturing facilities in Alabama and Georgia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parker succeeds Jos\u00e9 Mu\u00f1oz in that role, who has been promoted to president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company. Parker will also remain the CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyundaiusa.com\/us\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyundai Motor America<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>\u201cRandy Parker is an outstanding leader with a proven track record for driving sales growth and effectively serving our dealer partners, customers, employees and other stakeholders. I am proud to announce him as the new CEO for Hyundai and Genesis Motor North America,\u201d said Mu\u00f1oz. \u201cAs I transition to the global president and CEO role, I\u2019m confident in the continued momentum of the North American market under Randy\u2019s leadership.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Parker\u2019s leadership at <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2024\/10\/01\/hyundai-motor-america-reports-september-and-q3-2024-sales\/\">Hyundai Motor America<\/a> has been instrumental in the company\u2019s remarkable sales growth. He joined the company in 2019 as vice president of national sales and was promoted to senior vice president in February 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2022, Parker became CEO of Hyundai Motor America, making history as the first African American to lead a significant <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2024\/01\/19\/idtechex-discusses-how-tech-giants-could-displace-automotive-oems\/\">OEM<\/a> regional market. Under his guidance, <a href=\"https:\/\/3sri.net\/2021\/04\/20\/%d9%87%d9%8a%d9%88%d9%86%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%8a-%d8%a3%d8%b2%d9%8a%d8%b1%d8%a7-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%ac%d8%af%d9%8a%d8%af%d8%a9-%d9%83%d9%84%d9%8a%d8%a7%d9%8b-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyundai<\/a> became one of the fastest-growing mainstream brands in the United States, setting all-time retail sales records for three consecutive years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>\u201cIt\u2019s an honour to lead Hyundai and Genesis in North America and build on our growth trajectory,\u201d added Parker. \u201cNorth America has become one of the most important markets for Hyundai globally. I\u2019m looking forward to leading our teams across the region and continuing to strengthen the relationship with our dealer partners.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Before joining Hyundai, Parker was the vice president of INFINITI North America, leading the brand\u2019s overall performance in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Parker had over thirty years of automotive industry experience and leadership roles at General Motors (GM), GM Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubairoute.com\/article\/life-changing-raffles-announced-for-25th-edition-of-dubai-shopping-festival\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nissan<\/a>, and Infiniti.<\/p>\n<p>At <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2023\/02\/17\/arctic-trucks-partners-with-nissan-for-historic-pole-to-pole-expedition\/\">Nissan<\/a>, he served as division vice president, Global Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales and marketing where he was responsible for the automaker\u2019s LCV business unit based in Yokohama, Japan. Parker also served as the regional vice president of Nissan USA\u2019s western region.<\/p>\n<p>Parker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University and completed Executive Management Programs at Harvard and Penn State.
