Safety systems developed through Volvo&#8217;s unique safety knowledge gained from research in real-world accidents for over 50 years are designed to help protect its driver and passengers in the event of a crash in real life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">It does so through modern restraint technology and a structural design that fulfils the company&#8217;s pioneering in-house <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2024\/08\/03\/2024-volvo-xc90-earns-top-safety-pick-in-iihs-crash-test-evaluations\/\">safety requirements<\/a>.
