{"id":38433,"date":"2024-03-13T22:16:28","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T18:16:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/?p=38433"},"modified":"2024-03-13T22:17:48","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T18:17:48","slug":"ineos-automotive-launches-grenadier-quartermaster-chassis-cab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2024\/03\/13\/ineos-automotive-launches-grenadier-quartermaster-chassis-cab\/","title":{"rendered":"INEOS Automotive Launches Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>INEOS Automotive has launched a five-seat double cab Chassis variant of the Grenadier Quartermaster pick-up aimed at specialist vehicle converters and commercial bodybuilders worldwide.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Developed in tandem with the Quartermaster pick-up, the chassis cabin is engineered to deliver a class-leading combination of <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2022\/09\/26\/new-1050de-adds-more-off-road-capability-to-v-strom-range\/\">off-road capability<\/a> and load-carrying versatility with the comfort, safety, refinement, and features that today\u2019s drivers expect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ineos.com\/businesses\/ineos-automotive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INEOS Automotive<\/a>, comments, \u201cIn the first year since the Grenadier launched, we have already seen a number of specialist conversions, particularly with emergency services such as fire, police, and inshore rescue, so launching the Quartermaster Chassis Cab is a natural step that takes our off-road expertise into many commercial areas that need a class-leading 4X4.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sharing the Quartermaster\u2019s 3227mm wheelbase \u2013 305mm longer than the Grenadier Station Wagon \u2013 the Chassis Cab features an exposed ladder frame behind the passenger cabin, giving customers and aftermarket vehicle converters a wide range of body-building options that are enhanced by the 3,500kg towing capability.<\/p>\n<p>The Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab will be built in Hambach, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubairoute.com\/article\/schneider-electric-partners-with-france-pavilion-at-expo-2020-dubai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">France<\/a>, at the manufacturing facility <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2024\/03\/06\/ineos-grenadier-wins-truck-suv-category-at-2024-alcan-5000-rally-in-western-canada-and-united-states\/\">INEOS<\/a> Automotive acquired from <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2017\/01\/14\/mercedes-benz-g-500-4x4%c2%b2-a-pure-new-creation-in-the-g-class-family\/\">Mercedes-Benz<\/a> in January 2021. Built on the same production line as the other Grenadier models, the Chassis Cab shares its five-seat double cab, complete box-section ladder frame chassis, heavy-duty solid beam axles, two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials with the Quartermaster. Power comes from a <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2022\/04\/20\/the-new-bmw-i7-sedan-has-a-folding-cinema-inside\/\">BMW 3.0-litre<\/a> turbo-charged gasoline engine, driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>\u201cThe Grenadier\u2019s body-on-frame construction already provides huge versatility for customisation, and we know from customer configurations that our vehicles are being used equally between commercial and leisure users.
