She will also be vital in driving our organisation\u2019s transition from a century-strong global carmaker to a leading <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2021\/08\/29\/alstom-pioneers-hydrogen-mobility-for-rail-to-forge-a-sustainable-future-for-transportation\/\">sustainable mobility<\/a> provider<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u201cWe\u2019re excited to have Vanessa joining our company,\u201d says Jim Rowan, <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2023\/09\/08\/volvo-cars-opens-new-tech-hub-in-singapore\/\">Volvo Cars<\/a> CEO. \u201cHer leadership and experience in this field will play a critical role in the continued execution of our ambitious sustainability strategy across our entire organisation and ensuring that we maintain a leading voice in sustainable mobility. I\u2019d also like to thank Anders for his great contribution to Volvo Cars\u2019 success and wish him well in his retirement.\u201d<\/span>\u202f<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Anders has led the establishment of our company\u2019s global sustainability framework, embedding an ambitious approach to <a href=\"https:\/\/3sri.net\/2020\/10\/22\/%d9%85%d8%a8%d8%a7%d8%af%d8%b1%d8%a9-%d8%a5%d9%86%d9%88%d9%81-%d8%a5%d9%8a%d8%b7%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%8a-%d9%8a%d9%88-%d8%a5%d9%8a%d9%87-%d8%a5%d9%8a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sustainable mobility<\/a> into the fabric of our company\u2019s future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Vanessa is Canadian and comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubairoute.com\/article\/volvo-v60-makes-an-exciting-new-addition-to-the-dubai-limousine-market\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Volvo Cars<\/a> from her most recent role as VP of Group Sustainability at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electroluxgroup.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Electrolux Group<\/a>, a global appliance company. She was part of developing the Electrolux Group\u2019s sustainability platform and helping it achieve its first science-based targets.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0Her experience includes several other leadership roles in sustainability and strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Vanessa\u2019s appointment comes at a critical time.\u00a0In addition to our ambition to only sell fully electric cars by 2030, <a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2023\/09\/18\/volvo-cars-appoints-new-head-of-procurement-and-supply-chain\/\">Volvo Cars<\/a>\u00a0recently announced that\u00a0we\u2019re<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0doubling down on our action plan \u2013 already one of the most ambitious in the automotive industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p lang=\"EN-GB\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u201cI have been admiring Volvo Cars\u2019 approach to sustainability,\u201d Vanessa says. \u201cNow I have a fantastic opportunity to join the team and drive the company towards its sustainability ambitions,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">integrating sustainability\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">as a competitive edge in\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">every aspect of\u00a0the value chain.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/autoscommunity.com\/2023\/10\/23\/volvo-cars-opens-new-state-of-the-art-software-testing-centre-in-sweden\/\">Volvo Cars<\/a> is transforming fast to answer the call for sustainable actions, and I look forward to being part of making a positive change for people and society.\u201d<\/span>\u202f<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Vanessa will be based at our global headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
