Volvo Car USA is adding a new variant of its best-selling SUVs. The XC60 Black Edition will be available as a 2024 model, adding an eye-catching styling option to the top levels of its award-winning luxury SUV.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Available only on the top-spec Ultimate equipment level, the Black Edition pairs the stealthy Onyx Black exterior colour with numerous exclusive black details, including a glossy black iron mark logo, Volvo spread word mark, and unique 21-inch 5-Double Spoke High Gloss Black Alloy wheels to add a sporty, yet elegant look to the XC60<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The XC60 Black Edition will be available to order soon, with deliveries commencing in early 2024.<\/p>\n

An essential part of the Volvo Cars<\/a> lineup for the last 15 years, the Volvo XC60 was named 2018 World Car of the Year and has become a favourite amongst those who appreciate the understated luxury of Scandinavian design.<\/p>\n

The Black Edition styling option most recently appeared on the award-winning S60 Sedan.<\/p>\n

Scandinavian Inspired Interiors<\/h5>\n

In addition to the black headliner in the Black Edition\u2019s charcoal interior, customers will choose two premium seat upholstery options. Charcoal Ventilated Nappa Leather or Nappa Leather\/Leatherette\/Textile Sport Seats provide a sophisticated and dynamic cockpit-like feel inside the XC60.<\/p>\n

Each interior will be complemented by contrasting metal mesh aluminium decor, a crystal gear shift knob by Orrefors\u00ae, and a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display complete with Google built-in.<\/p>\n

Two Electrified Powertrains<\/h5>\n

As part of the Swedish luxury car brand\u2019s commitment to sustainability, Volvo will offer two competent hybrid powertrain options.<\/p>\n

The XC60 Recharge Black Edition T8 features the company\u2019s popular plug-in hybrid powertrain, which offers the perfect balance of speed, performance and fuel efficiency by combining a 312 hp four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 143 hp electric motor. Thanks to the 18.8 kWh high voltage battery featured on the 2024 XC60 Recharge, drivers can achieve up to 35 miles of fully electric range in Pure mode*.<\/p>\n

The XC60 B5 AWD Black Edition will utilize Volvo Cars\u2019 mild hybrid technology, which combines a traditional internal combustion engine and an electric integrated starter generator to minimize carbon dioxide emissions and improve fuel economy while providing customers real-world performance benefits, all without ever having to plug in.<\/p>\n

As of model year 2023, the entire lineup of Volvo cars consists of mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or fully electric vehicles. Regardless of lifestyle or access to charging, customers can find an electrified Volvo car to fit their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Joining an Already Impressive Product Portfolio<\/h5>\n

The rest of Volvo Car\u2019s 2024 lineup is headlined by introducing two new Volvo-developed powertrain options on the fully electric C40 Recharge<\/a> and XC40 Recharge.<\/p>\n

These new powertrains offer increased range and improved charging times while maintaining the safety and secure driving dynamics that Volvo customers have expected.<\/p>\n

For the first time in 25 years, Volvo Car USA<\/a> will offer rear-wheel drive options. Thanks to the even weight distribution provided by electric vehicles<\/a>, traction for the rear wheels is significantly improved compared to a traditional front-engine ICE car.<\/p>\n

In addition to XC60, C40, and XC40, Volvo Car USA<\/a> continues to offer the S60, S90, V60, V90, and XC90 to customers in the US.<\/p>\n
