Cyan Racing Announces Contract Extension With World Touring Car Winner Santiago Urrutia

Cyan Racing has extended its contract and cooperation with multiple worlds touring car race winner Santiago Urrutia beyond 2023.

“Santiago Urrutia (Santi) is one of the fastest touring car drivers in the world and a valued team member who has performed strongly since day one with the team. Our decision to extend our contract with him was easy to take. We look forward to continuing working together towards more success on the track,” said Fredrik Wahlén, team manager of Cyan Racing.

The extension was announced during the TCR World Tour home race of Santiago Urrutia at Autódromo Victor Borrat Fabini in Uruguay in front of a massive crowd.

“I’m delighted and thankful to renew my contract with Cyan Racing, the team that has allowed me to become a professional racing driver – something I will never forget. I feel that I am a part of the Cyan Racing family, we have won touring car world titles together, and I couldn’t be happier than where I am. I want to thank everyone in the team who has put their trust in me, and I look forward to more successful seasons together,” said Santiago Urrutia.

The Uruguayan talent joined Cyan Racing in 2020 and has since scored six wins, and 15 podium finishes for the team in world touring cars.
